General terms and conditions for participants of the Rückenfrei forums and their companions

Services/participation fee for conference participants and accompanying persons
The participation fee for conference participants is € 49.00 (excluding Austrian VAT).

The travel, accommodation and subsistence costs of the conference participants/accompanying persons are not included in the prices stated in point B. Our prices do not include Austrian VAT.

scope
The provisions in the registration forms and the general contractual conditions listed here apply to contracts for participation.

registration
Registrations for the Rückenfrei Forum for accompanying persons can be made online using the registration form. The registration represents a binding offer to conclude a contract. However, a contract is only concluded after the conference organizer has confirmed the registration to the conference participant/accompanying person in writing (by e-mail). After receipt of the registration, you will receive a registration confirmation and an invoice by e-mail, which you should pay upon receipt. Participation in the Rückenfrei Forum is only possible if we have received payment before the event. On-site registrations are not possible. If part of the invoice amount is still outstanding on the date of the event, the conference participant/accompanying person has no right to participate.

event cancellation
The organizer is authorized to cancel the event for conference participants and accompanying persons at any time for organizational, economic or other important reasons (e.g. due to force majeure, low conference registrations, etc.) and to terminate the contract extraordinarily. In this case, the conference organizer will refund the participation fee paid in advance. Further claims for damages cannot be raised due to the cancellation of an event.
Due to national and local restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the organizer is entitled to cancel the event on site and only hold it online. The participants will be refunded the additional amount for the online entry, not the entire entry price.

program changes
Changes to the program (e.g. change of speakers, cancellation of lectures) are reserved and do not entitle to compensation.

copyright
Event documents from speakers/third parties (presentation slides, etc.) are protected by copyright. Distribution or duplication of the event documents is not permitted.

Liability
Claims for damages of any kind against the conference organizer are excluded, unless intentional or grossly negligent action is involved.
In particular, the conference organizer is not liable - with the exception of intent and gross negligence - for personal injury and loss or damage to objects brought to the supporting program for accompanying persons.

cancellation
Conference participants/accompanying persons can withdraw from the contract at any time. However, any cancellation must be made in writing. If the declaration of withdrawal is received up to one (1) week before the event date, the booking will be canceled free of charge. For cancellations within one (1) week before the event date, the cancellation fee is 50%. If a participant/accompanying person does not show up or cancels on the day of the event, the full flat rate will be charged. A substitute can of course be named.

Right of Withdrawal
Consumers within the meaning of § 1 Paragraph 1 KSchG can withdraw from a distance contract or a contract concluded outside of business premises within 14 days without giving reasons according to § 11 FAGG. The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded. In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform the conference organizer of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). The revocation must be sent to: Team Rückenfrei by email to welcome@rueckenfrei.team. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication regarding your exercise of the right of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired. If you revoke this contract, we have to repay all payments that we have received from you immediately and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your revocation of this contract. For this repayment, we use the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction, unless something else was expressly agreed with you; under no circumstances will you be charged fees for this repayment.

Final Provisions
Should individual clauses of these general contractual conditions be wholly or partially ineffective or should the contract contain gaps, the effectiveness of the remaining contractual clauses or parts of these clauses shall remain unaffected. The relevant statutory provisions shall take the place of the ineffective or missing clauses.
Austrian law applies exclusively to disputes arising from this contractual relationship.
The place of jurisdiction for all claims arising from the contract associated with these general terms and conditions is Austria.
